Alsion is a "house" which unites the university, research park and concert hall. Alsion is located next to a former railway area right at Als Sun. The idea was to create some split-level oblong buildings which made it possible to create offices, meeting rooms, auditoriums and classrooms separated by different atriums.

In order to achieve good acoustics in the different hallways and large room, Gyptone Quattro 42 Big Special is used on the terraces/balconies.

The staircase between the different floors is made out of steel, clad with moulded Gyproc plasterboards so it creates some soft curves. The ceiling in the foyer in front of the concert hall is made out of Rigitone.

The balconies in the concert hall are clad with Gyproc plasterboards with special milled grooves in the front to enable better acoustics. The ceiling in the concert hall is fitted out with specially designed triangles in both concrete and Gyproc plasterboards.
